Where am I?

VIntage-Cheddar Montage

Don't worry, I haven't been arrested, or left the the country, or embroiled in some sort of cross-country espionage mission. I have just been inundated with parties, farewells and shopping sprees before my dear friend E leaves the sunny shores of Oz on Wednesday bound for the majestic land of Africa, Malawi, to be precise. It's bittersweet, but she has lots of amazing things to do back home and although Australia just won't be the same without her, Africa won't be either.

But don't fret, I 'll be back soon and here is a little taste of what is to come next on
Milk and Cookies.

Hi,
It's sad to say goodbye to a friend... One of my oldest friends left for the US and it felt strange and very sad to have her in a place on the other side of the world. But phones, e-mails and even the ordinary mail makes the world smaller :-)

I'm looking forward to see what's to come here on your blog ;-)

Take care,
Elisabeth

Ari- Awwww. Thanks, glad to know that you haven't abandoned me.

Kristen- I got them from a shop here in Sydney called Victoria's Basement. But I am sure you could find these at any shop that sells baking equipment.
And I hate to say but the goodbye was a lot harder than I anticipated.

Linda- Oh thanks!

Mae- I know what you mean. The goodbye at the airport was awful, tears, hugs and more tears. Although with modern technology your friends never seem too far away.

Christine- That's nice to know that you bloggers aren't at all fickle.

Cookie Baker Lynn- Thanks so much!

Joey- Thanks, and the great thing is I now have a great excuse to go to Africa.

Squishy- Oh thanks for caring, its very sweet.

Peabody- Yes! Eating all that food and doing all that shopping was so difficult. I guess now that my body and my credit card are paying for it.

Vintage Wine- It was really hard, but as you mentioned with modern ways of communication, she doesn't seem so far away. Let's just say we have been texting a lot as it's so cheap.

Jc- Thanks, no problem.
